Move a project to the iPhone app

  1. In the website, choose Export this project from Decisions, or Back up for your whole notebook.
  2. Save the JSON file somewhere you can reach on your phone, such as Files or iCloud Drive.
  3. In the installed app, choose Restore. On a phone, you can also find Restore near the bottom of the notebook.
  4. Choose the backup file. Use Merge to combine new studies, or Keep both to inspect a separate restored copy.

The browser version and installed app have separate local storage. Installing the app does not automatically transfer your browser projects.

Keep an independent backup

Choose Back up, then Save to Files in the share sheet. Keep a backup before removing the app or changing devices. The private recovery copy helps restore app storage, but it is not a replacement for a separate exported backup.

Crop and straighten

Crop gives you a frame you can move and resize. Straighten lets you drag four corners around a painting photographed at an angle. Its proportions follow the corners; you can also enter known canvas dimensions.

Find your new studies

Try three more creates another sketch set. The newest set is selected after generation; use the set selector to revisit earlier sketches, or Browse every study for the full archive.

Working offline

The installed iPhone app carries its rendering tools and example image with it. Core editing, sketch studies, and your local notebook work without a network connection.
