What you can do here.
Play, pause and intervene in the nursery. Explore maze rooms, keep or forget observations, and try recorded generated challenges. Experiment with image changes, import a photograph, and export journeys and comparisons.
Live movement advances the simulation. Recorded replays only play saved states. The research pages identify their conditions, costs and limits.
What needs the research service?
Starting a new large comparison or growing a new batch of curriculum rooms uses the separate local research service. This edition includes its completed results and generated rooms. It does not connect to the creator’s computer or run background research after you close the page.
Your visit stays yours.
Journeys and imported images stay in this browser’s storage. Clearing site data, using a private window, or moving to a different device may lose them. Exports download JSON evidence to your device; they do not submit it to the creator. Photo-review judgments also stay local unless you choose to share an export.
The site adds no analytics or submission service. Like any hosted website, its hosting provider receives ordinary page and asset requests. External source links open their own websites.
No accounts or installations are needed. Use a current browser with JavaScript and WebGL. If 3D rendering is unavailable, the nursery’s controls and evidence still work. Start paused, use one habitat at a time, and pause when you want to read.
A small learner, carefully observed.
The physics, sensors and available actions are supplied by the program. Lumen updates models and decisions within that world. A successful room, a long run or a moving figure does not demonstrate general intelligence or sentience.
The project draws inspiration from Computational Beings and On Noah’s Ark There Is No Theater. Its image work connects observation, intervention and evidence to image-steering research.
