Your paint mixtures stay on your device

Touch of Paint calculates estimated oil-paint mixtures, corrections, and quantities locally. It requires no account and includes no advertising, tracking, app-operated analytics, cloud sync, or image-upload service. The developer does not receive your recipes, reference photos, calibration settings, or usage activity.

Photos

If you choose to sample a colour from a photo, you select that image through the system picker. It is processed locally to display the image and calculate the colour you tap. The app does not upload the photo or store it as part of a saved recipe. Photo permissions, if granted, can be changed in your device’s Settings.

Local storage, retention, and deletion

The app stores saved colours, your working pile, selected paints, calibration adjustments, and mixing-quantity settings locally. Saved colours can be deleted in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data; clearing website data removes the browser version’s local data. Keep any recipes you need separately before removing the app. There is no developer-operated recovery or backup service. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete data stored only on your device.

Apple may include app data in a device backup depending on your settings. Backups and diagnostics are managed separately through Apple. Exported or shared copies must be deleted wherever you saved or sent them.

Sharing a mixing list

The installed app offers the iOS share sheet for a mixing checklist. You choose its destination; sharing is not automatic. The receiving app, service, or recipient then handles that copy under its own settings and policies.

Apple and this website

App Store distribution, TestFlight, backups, and device diagnostics are managed by Apple under its own policies and your settings. This website is hosted by Netlify; ordinary web requests may include technical connection information such as your IP address for delivery and security. Website visits are separate from on-device paint calculations. See Apple’s privacy policy and Netlify’s privacy policy.

Support correspondence

If you email support, the information you choose to send is received through our email provider and used to respond. Correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request; you may ask for it to be deleted. Please avoid sending private photos or sensitive information unless needed for your question.

Children and policy changes

The app does not request personal information from children or provide social feeds, messaging, or advertising. This policy will be updated if privacy practices change.
